StyleFox: From Media Mogul to Beauty and Wellness Line

Running a brand often means figuring things out on your own. In the U.S., more than 80% of small businesses are solo ventures, and Desiree Rabuse was one of them. She built StyleFox from the ground up, turning it from a media outlet into a growing beauty and wellness brand.
StyleFox founder, Desiree, first connected with Clearco a few years back. Funding wasn’t the goal then, but the conversation stuck. They reconnected at a Topgolf event, where she met Audrianna Frey, Eric Wagner, and other founders who shared her drive. That night sparked new ideas and gave her a fresh perspective on what StyleFox could become.
The Origin Story Behind StyleFox’s Viral Growth
Desiree got her start in magazines, writing and editing in New York's fashion and beauty scene. She always had the itch to build something of her own. While juggling a full-time job and school, she spent late nights working on StyleFox. In 2013, the site went live with ten original articles. No PR. Just word of mouth.
One piece on making high heels more comfortable started to spread. Then a post on Korean beauty caught fire and was picked up by bigger outlets. As traffic grew, so did opportunities. StyleFox began partnering on sponsored content (well before influencer campaigns became the norm).

Why StyleFox’s Skincare Line Stands Out in a Crowded Market
In 2018, Desiree launched her first skincare product under StyleFox. It was a powdered face mask that left out preservatives and fragrance, using a simple formula that you mixed with water. It was easier on the skin and stood out for its clean ingredients. People started talking about it, and soon it found its way into major subscription boxes.
That early success led to new products, including the Flowers for the Planet line, which uses ingredients grown on Desiree’s own regenerative farm and helps fund pollinator restoration efforts. Desiree is always looking for ways to improve the little things. She is naturally curious and likes solving problems in ways that feel thoughtful and useful. In her words, every time she does a task, she is thinking of a better way to do it.
How StyleFox Is Growing Into a Full Wellness Brand
Desiree is turning StyleFox into a larger vision. She is building it into a full wellness brand that goes beyond skincare. New products like light therapy tools and under-eye masks are on the way, but she is also working on a project that feels more hands-on. Her goal is to open a space where people can move their bodies, care for their skin, and feel good. It would bring together Pilates, skincare, and retail all in one place.
Desiree is fueled by the connections she makes along the way. Events like Shoptalk remind her how valuable it is to meet peers face to face and really listen. Some of her best ideas have come from those everyday conversations. She believes your skin is part of your overall health, and she is creating a brand that supports that in a real and personal way.

What’s Next for StyleFox and the Values Behind Its Growth
Desiree’s journey from editor to founder has always been about following her curiosity and crafting a business that feels true to her. As she says, don't get derailed by what others are doing. That mindset helped her shape StyleFox into a space with real meaning behind it.
When she crossed paths with Clearco, it was centred on connecting with like-minded individuals who understood what she was building. For Desiree, StyleFox is something she cares deeply for, and it continues to grow with the people who believe in it.
