I have three kids—three boys—so I wanted to create a product that I could be proud of and a product that I’d be happy with them having. Skyler pitched me with the idea of a meal replacement that really nourishes your body and I knew that was something I could really get behind. There was this huge opportunity for us in the meal replacement space, so we took this approach of creating a product that was a modern twist to cereal.
You know when you’re a kid and you have that final gulp of milk at the bottom of the cereal bowl? It’s a taste that creates almost an emotional experience for people.That was really our starting point. We’ve had people who have said to us, “wow it’s just like Saturday morning cartoons.” I think that nostalgic taste is what really takes people back, and gives them the experience of being young again. And this nostalgic taste really stuck with our community.
