I spent my undergrad trying to become a dentist. Once I graduated I was accepted to a dentistry school in New York, but like most people who fall into entrepreneurship I quickly figured out dentistry wasn’t for me and decided to explore other options. I ended up doing a master of science looking at low carb diets and how they affect obesity and cancer.
I was passionate about the health and fitness space, so in the final year of my masters degree my fiancé and I had taken the plunge and decided to launch a nutrition company. I had spent six years waiting tables and bartending, so to start this business I pretty much had taken every penny I saved up. It was scary, but I always knew that with enough passion and hard work we would be able to execute.
You’ve worked hard to build your business, you should own 100% of it.
